The Misfortunes of Mr. Minihan
Mr. Minihan's misfortunes all stem from the fact that, through no fault of his own, he spreads unhappiness and trouble wherever he goes. In other words, Mr. Minihan is a jinx, and no matter how much his friends love him, they can't afford to spend too much time in his company. Thus they are forced to devise schemes to send Mr. M. far, far away.
