Ashley and Michael take on a house in the historic district that's been abandoned for decades. It's their first renovation since Ashley became pregnant, and they hope to complete the massive project before the baby arrives.

Southern Charmer
Michael has overpaid on a house that claims to be a Victorian which lacks details from the era. Ashley and Michael need to make this home look like a Victorian again without going over their budget, and they only have six weeks before the baby arrives.

The Weekender
Ashley and Michael aim to help restore Galveston's reputation as America's "Playground of the South" by turning a dilapidated tiny house into a beach getaway for a family to enjoy on the weekends, and this renovation has them working overtime.

Destined For Demo
With four houses under construction and her baby fast approaching, Ashley's feeling extremely overwhelmed. When Michael announces he bought a new house that's on the city's demo list, she realizes this unique 1930s bungalow needs to be saved.

Yellow Victorian
Ashley falls in love with an old Victorian that still has most of its original details, but the asking price is high. They decide to take on the project despite the slim profit margin to help to restore the neighborhood with a beautifully renovated home.

Coastal Cottage
Michael finds a 1931 craftsman bungalow that's near the beach, and after seeing it, they know they have to buy it. When their baby arrives before the house is completed, however, they find themselves struggling to finish the project.

Budget Bungalow
Michael sees potential in a Victorian bungalow that has been eaten away by termites, leaving catastrophic damage. With so much neglect to repair, Michael and Ashley have an extremely tight budget which forces them to do more DIY projects than ever.

Soda Pop Shop
The Cordray family has been in Galveston for over a century, and for 50 years they ran a corner drug store. Now, Ashley wants to bring it back. With a baby due in a few weeks, however, Michael doesn't think it's a good time to open a new business.

She's a charismatic adventuress whom Book loves deeply but not physically, for they are in a 'lavender' marriage to help conceal Book's sexual orientation in a time when it was illegal to be gay.
Bookish marries post-war nostalgia with the reckless and life-affirming atmosphere of the times, creating a fast-paced and stylish detective drama.
