The Gunther Job

Chad and Katie Gunther hate their cramped and outdated kitchen, so they're going to renovate the space and incorporate their dining room area to open it up. Living and working in Las Vegas means that this dynamic couple loves to entertain, so now they want to create an inviting space for their family and friends. Everything will be demoed: cabinets that don't hold any of their cooking supplies, unsanitary and impossible-to-clean tiled countertops and ugly tile flooring and carpet. Their plan is to demo an existing peninsula and move it out into the dining room to open the kitchen floor plan. The new, larger cabinets will extend into the expanded space as well. On the opposite wall, built-ins will be installed to create a bar area. And the dingy carpets will finally be replaced with something more durable and chic. Chad isn't a stranger to small renovations, but Katie, who makes a living as a Britney Spears impersonator in Vegas, has no idea what she's doing. Combine that with the fact that Chad describes his plumbing and electrical skills as "sub-par at best," and this renovation will surely challenge the couple's problem-solving skills.
