After serving decades behind bars, convicted felons Kevin, Kay and Jermaine are released from prison. Her sixth time out, Kay is now sober with a new attitude; Jermaine's daughter refuses to forgive him and Kevin makes the long trip home from San Quentin.

Left Behind
Michael gets released from prison after 18 years but his father's death haunts him; Kevin attempts to reconcile with his children; Jermaine gets bad news from his parole officer; Kay reveals her struggles with addiction during church.

No More Excuses
Kevin, Kay, Michael and Jermaine face reality after the honeymoon of their release is over; Kevin hits a snag on the job hunt; Kay gets a surprise visit from a PO; Michael visits the cemetery; Jermaine tries to reach out to his estranged daughter.

Ties That Bind
Sam is released and reunited with a wife and kids who waited 26 years for him; Kay and Jermaine face the distrust of family members who haven't fully forgiven them for their pasts; Mike tries to get his driver's license and meets his PO.

Road Blocks
After 15 years, Bruce is released to a newborn daughter and his old neighborhood friends. Kevin finally gets a chance to prove himself on the job; Kay lays the groundwork for her future with her son; Sam tackles fatherhood for the first time.

Too Close for Comfort
Michael looks forward to his first birthday as a free man until his PO delivers bad news, while Bruce deals with new responsibilities as a father. Sam struggles to adjust to everyday life on the outside, and Kevin is ready to take a chance on dating.

Moving On
Bruce's early morning work schedule puts a strain on his relationship with Kina, while Sam gets a driving lesson from his daughter. Michael's love life is gaining steam with a woman from church, and Kay and Rachel's relationship hits a breaking point.

Second Chances
Bruce and Michael meet up and realize just how different their lives have been post-release. After storming out of Rachel's house, Kay's entire life is in limbo. Sam steps up as a grandfather and looks back on San Quentin from a unique point of view.

Amandaland
Following three series of the Merman-produced, BAFTA award-winning series Motherland, a brand-new spin-off, Amandaland, is coming to the BBC, focused on Amanda.
Post her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).
With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.

The Pitt
The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today's America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby's 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital's emergency room.
