Odcinek 1

At high noon, a woman runs out of the forest under the wheels of a drunk Patejuk's bicycle and falls dead. The terrified postman recognizes her as the daughter of retired forester Szulowicz, Anna. The Augustów Forest stretches around, a silent witness to the crime. Commissioner Karol Nadzieja and his colleagues from the Augustów District Police Headquarters arrive at the scene. They begin an investigation that quickly leads them to the home of the victim's parents. There, they discover three more bodies - Anna's son and her parents. The case seems very complicated, but the prosecutor assigned to the case, Monika Pawluk, insists on focusing the investigation on Andrzej Janonis. He is Anna's husband, the only surviving member of the forester's family. Nadzieja does not share the young prosecutor's opinion. She decides to ask for help from her old friend, an investigative psychologist and profiler - Julia Wigier. She does not know that she is just starting her vacation in the Augustów Lakeland.
