In the garden of Dragshols castle, Mette and James are cooking food from the late medieval period. As a main course James is preparing boneless chicken, stuffed with dried fruits that has been marinated in mead, and arranged on a bed of various root vegetables. For dessert Mette is making bread pancakes filled with blackberries, honey, mint, and nuts. During the program Mette and James enlighten the viewers with facts about food trends, garden trends, ingredients used, and historical facts about King Christian the 3rd who ended the medieval period in Denmark by introducing the reformation in the Lord's year 1536.
