The Rubyvale Boys help a neighbour who is in need for a cut of the sapphire spoils. Tom heads to the Tasmanian mountains in search of meteorite-impact glass.

Rock Hard
Patrick and Kirsty revisit a 15-year-old ocean kyanite dig site. Kyle and Glenn must pivot from quartz to black agate to reach their huge dig target.

No Shayne No Gain
In their desperate bid to set up a second sapphire mine, The Rubyvale Boys face a cascade of equipment failures, while Frankie and Ebriony trudge through dense grasslands on the hunt for peridot. The Neils risk their lives in the sweltering heat of an abandoned quartz mine to stave off mounting bills.

Fission for Stichtite
Patrick Gundersen's delicate operation to extract Australia's largest smoky quartz cluster is derailed by hard ground, while Jarrin and Hugh's stichtite dig forces them to resort to more explosive measures. Kyle's relationship with his girlfriend, Jillian, is on the rocks as the pair futilely hunt for Killiecrankie diamonds.

Red Lead Redemption
After a near-catastrophic cave-in at Shane Dohnt's crocoite mine, Kyle Archer and his team must work an abandoned drive reclaimed by rainforest, while Frankie and Ebriony's grassland garnet expedition is cut short by bushfires. Their second sapphire mine still offline, The Rubyvale Boys send Shayne underground for any hope of reaching season target.

From the Pinnacle to the Pit
Amidst season-ending rain, Jarrin and Hugh hunt for anything and everything in the walls of their tired mine, while Patrick Gundersen's hopes of hitting season target lie within a massive column of potentially crystal-bearing rock. Desperate for cash, The Neils return to ‘Topaz Mountain', risking life and limb against deadly boulders.
