Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids - Season 2

Season 2

Episodes

Episode 1
Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her family return for a new series, as they continue the monumental task of turning an abandoned farmhouse into a 21st-century home to secure their future in the Dales. Across the seasons, they take on life on the farm and the epic renovation of Anty John's - a dilapidated stone barn with an incredible history. In this episode, it's summer in Swaledale and the renovation of Anty John's is about to hit its one-year anniversary, with plenty of work still to do for Richard the builder and the Owen family. For the kids, the summer holidays mean picnics and playing in the stream, but with dad Clive laid low by a hip operation, they'll need to help out around the farm too. It's the perfect weather for Amanda and daughter Clemmie to set off on a horse ride in the sunshine from Ravenseat to Anty John's, while Clive, Reuben and Sid look for a spring to supply their water. Meanwhile, as summer turns to autumn, Richard's crew grapple with the challenge of extra work now that the Owens have permission to extend their new home into the adjacent barn - and there's excitement as Anty John's new windows arrive on site.

Episode 2
Builder Richard grapples with the challenge of moving oak ceiling beams into position while, over at Ravenseat, Clive picks up the tweezers to get his sheep looking their best for the sales. An incredible discovery could reveal a wealth of information about Anty John's 19th-century resident Anthony Clarkson. And, as winter draws in, the building is finally scaffolding-free.

Episode 3
A second Christmas during the Owens' farmhouse renovation is fast approaching, and Amanda and the kids are preparing their farm animals and pets for the cold weather. Richard is keen to get doors fitted so that the house is protected from the elements, while Amanda and her daughter Clemmie meet historian Derek to walk in the footsteps of Anty John's former occupant, diarist Anthony Clarkson.

Episode 4
A major snowfall brings stunning landscapes and carefree play days for the kids, while builder Richard is hard at work fitting floors, pipes and electrics. Amanda's off-roader gets stuck in a snowdrift and needs a helping hand from Miles and his tractor, and the family battle members to protect their pregnant sheep scattered across the Fells.
