Phil caught Shannon cheating, and they have both nursed broken hearts ever since. Lara and James were almost at the altar when Lara called it off. Beth thought Mitch was The One, but he ended their relationship on their second anniversary.

Holly ended things with Tom after his past came back to haunt them. Estranged Mark and Pippa have three kids together, but have not spoken for six years. Russ was besotted with Amy, but felt the timing was wrong for them. Unfortunately, he never explained his reasoning to her.

Middle child Gene is an aspiring musician with a thirst for life. Louise is the bunny ears-wearing youngest daughter with an off-kilter sense of humor that makes her somewhat of a liability in the kitchen – and with the public.
