In 2018, Minister of Justice Tor Mikkel Wara was subjected to a series of serious attacks on his private home. For several months, the police are without a trace, until there is a shocking breakthrough in the case.

In September 2003, a boy is sexually abused by a man in the stairwell where he lives. The police start an intense hunt for the man's identity in order to stop him. At the same time, new reports of abuse are constantly coming in.

In the early 90s, the Norwegian population was shaken by several church fires. In 1993, Øystein Aarseth is found dead in a stairwell in Oslo. The police are focusing their attention on certain people in the black-metal community. One of these is Varg Vikernes.

In August 2004, two armed people stormed into the Munch Museum on Tøyen. In the chaos that ensues, they take the two world-famous paintings Scream and Madonna with them. Who is behind the theft, and are the photos lost forever?

On 19 December 1994, Bjørn Thore Langemyhr got on a train from Tønsberg to Oslo. It is the last the family sees of him. At the same time, rumors are beginning to circulate that a drug-laden environment may have taken Langemyhr's life.
