A comical romance between a woman who faked marriage because she didn't want to lose money and a man who became a fake groom because he didn't want to hurt a woman.

Episode 1
Son Hae-yeong, a woman who is calculating by nature and hates to suffer losses. Kim Ji-uk, a civlian officer, neighborhood angel, perfect convenience store part-timer who hates causing trouble to people. After breaking up with her boyfriend to avoid losses, Hae-yeong makes a surprising offer to Ji-uk to win the in-house contest. What offer could she have made?

Episode 2
Strange behavior follows after the proposal. Ji-uk rejects Hae-yeong's offer to be her fake husband without hesitation. Woo-jae shamelessly gaslights Hae-yeong after stealing her idea. Provoked by Woo-jae, Hae-yeong becomes increasingly desperate for a fake marriage and starts searching for a husband on a secondhand app. Will she find a fake husband?

Episode 3
This marriage is a failure! Shocked by Ji-uk's true looks, Hae-yeong vents her frustrations and becomes suspicious of him for knowing so much about her. Rumors about her handsome husband spark her coworkers' curiosity about her proposal story. Hae-yeong asks Ji-uk to propose to her, only to be treated like a weirdo again. Hae-yeong's wedding plan to erase all memories of her husband begins!

Episode 4
What are the odds of staying at the same hotel as your ex on your wedding day? Thanks to Woo-jae and Yi-lin, Hae-yeong and Ji-uk spend the night together. She teases him about his inexperience, and he mentions their kiss. They spend the night discussing gains and losses. Hae-yeong goes on the honeymoon alone while Ji-uk disappears without a word. Hae-yeong spots Ji-uk at an unexpected place!

Episode 5
The husband who had been missing and out of contact shows. And as a new recruit, no less. Hae-yeong is shocked to see Ji-uk as a new recruit at Kkulbee. Though he is apologetic, he is unable to share why he had to join the company. Meanwhile, fearing that their fake marriage will be exposed, Hae-yeong devises a plan to get rid of Ji-uk. However, this unexpectedly puts her in a tough spot.

Episode 6
Due to Ji-uk's unpredicted disclosure of his identity, he and Hae-yeong become the talk of the company. Hae-yeong is mistaken for pulling strings to get Ji-uk employed, while Ji-uk is upset that Hae-yeong speculates him to be the one who reported her for workplace harassment. Meanwhile, the mastermind behind Ji-uk's employment slowly becomes known. Will the true nepo baby's identity be revealed?

Episode 7
Waking up in the same bed as your ex-boyfriend and husband? Hae-yeong and Ji-uk wake up with no memory of the previous night after getting drunk. Woo-jae is upset at Yi-lin over a sudden personnel transfer, while Hae-yeong regrets getting married, prompting Ji-uk to offer a divorce. Meanwhile, Ja-yeon, worried about Gyu-hyun, visits the orphanage and almost runs into Ha-jun.

Episode 8
Hae-yeong and Ji-uk's long-awaited first kiss leads to a fight. What's the meaning behind Hae-yeong's kiss and Ji-uk's kiss? Ji-uk thinks of different ways to reconcile with the angry Hae-yeong. Who will emerge victorious in their first marital fight? Meanwhile, Hae-yeong visits the orphanage with the new business idea proposed by Ji-uk and faces the risk of Woo-jae discovering her secret.

Episode 9
Hae-yeong and Ji-uk reconcile. Ji-uk's place turns into chaos when Gyu-hyun visits him upon learning of his secret. Ji-uk decides to quit, only to be informed of an unexpected personnel change before he can hand in his resignation letter. However, Gyu-hyun's payback doesn't end there. Hae-yeong is bound to face losses in the fight between Gyu-hyun and his father. Will she fight back or back down?

Episode 10
Hae-yeong is shocked by Gyu-hyun's sudden appearance and Ja-yeon's confession. Gyu-hyun reveals Ji-uk and Ja-yeon's secrets, making Hae-yeong furious and driving them out of the house. Now homeless and uncertain, Ji-uk receives advice from Mr. Jang to live on his own terms. Ji-uk, the angel who has always lived for others, and Hae-yeong, who has discovered his secret. What will be their fate?

Episode 11
Hae-yeong storms out of the house after finding out about Ji-uk's secret, and Ji-uk is unable to hold her back. Ja-yeon feels heavy-hearted, thinking that Hae-yeong is angry because of her. Gyu-hyun and Ji-uk are equally shocked upon learning Hae-yeong and Ja-yeon's secret. Ji-uk struggles to find Hae-yeong, whose whereabouts are unknown, while Hae-yeong is clouded. Will he find her?

Episode 12
Hae-yeong is heartbroken over Eun-ok's sudden death. As she bids farewell with the help of her foster siblings, she begins to understand Eun-ok's life. Meanwhile, she feels heavy-hearted as Ji-uk promises not to leave her. Hae-yeong wishes for Ji-uk to live freely, while Ji-uk struggles to understand her. What will become of their complicated relationship?
