Based on the books by Rex Stout, A Nero Wolfe Mystery is set in a classic New York of mobsters, socialites, and other charismatic characters. Wolfe would prefer to spend his days with the ten thousand orchids on the roof or annoying Fritz in the kitchen, but he makes a living as a detective with the help of Archie Goodwin who acts as eyes, ears, and noodge to the great detective.
