President Trump remained in Washington over the weekend to rally Senate Republicans to pass a key spending bill, which he refers to as the "big, beautiful bill." It comes after Canada raised steel tariffs on the U.S., escalating the trade war. NBC News' Vaughn Hillyard reports from the White House. With severe weather sweeping across the country over the weekend, storms are also threatening to complicate the Fourth of July holiday travel rush. NBC News' Aaron Gilchrist reports from Atlanta. Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were honored at a private funeral on Saturday, weeks after she was killed in what's been called a politically motivated assassination.
