A judge in California is weighing whether Erik and Lyle Menendez should be resentenced for the murder of their parents in 1989. The brothers have spent more than 30 years in prison. Several family members who support their bid for freedom testified in court. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports prosecutors oppose resentencing, pointing to an assessment. The star witness for the prosecution in Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' federal sex trafficking trial testified on Tuesday. Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, alleged Combs physically abused her during their relationship and pressured her to participate in explicit sexual encounters he called "freak offs". NBC News' Chloe Melas reports Ventura called Combs "a scary person" and said the encounters made her feel disgusting and humiliated. Campbell, who now runs a summer camp, did not respond to NBC News' repeated inquiries. According to a new book, those around President Biden had concerns about his mental fitness for office, even before his disastrous debate performance. Among the incidents, then-President Biden reportedly did not know who George Clooney was at a fundraiser and forgot the names of longtime aides. A Biden spokesperson said that "he was a very effective president." NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports. Natalie Nakase has made history as the WNBA's first Asian American head coach. Nakase joins the Golden State Valkyries after previously working for the Las Vegas Aces and the Los Angeles Clippers. She reflects on her journey to the league and the significance of her new role.
