Pope Leo XIV stepped outside the Vatican for the first time since being elected leader of the catholic church. He paid respects to the tomb of the late Pope Francis and visited an Augustinian sanctuary. NBC News International Correspondent Molly Hunter reports from The Vatican. A 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit Tennessee on Saturday. Tremors were felt across multiple states. NBC News' Priya Sridhar has more. Trade talks between American and Chinese negotiators are set to continue in Switzerland this weekend as both sides work towards a deal. NBC News' Yamiche Alcindor has the latest. New questions about whether or not a new ceasefire between India and Pakistan is holding following a week of fighting between the two nuclear armed countries. Leaders from France and the United Kingdom showed solidarity with Ukraine in Kyiv today and called on Russia to stop fighting and agree to a ceasefire. Pope Leo XIV made history as the first U.S.-born pontiff, but his election is being celebrated in Peru because of his ties to the South American country. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk reports from Peru.
