A gunman opened fire in Atlanta on Friday afternoon near the campuses of both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University, killing a police officer who was responding to calls of an active shooter, officials said. At Golisano Children's Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, Teri Aldred-Locci has been dressing up in costume as a different character every Friday for the last eight years. With about 300 costumes in her wardrobe, Teri says her goal is to spread cheer and turn frowns upside down for parents and children who need it most. NBC News' George Solis has the story.
