Some of the hardest hit communities are impossible to reach. The massive storm made a second landfall in Cuba, before taking aim at the Bahamas. NBC News' George Solis is there. Police bodycam videos show how first responders raced into an assisted living facility outside Detroit that was engulfed in flames. The 87 residents there are now lucky to be alive as some were asleep and unaware of the risk. NBC News' Morgan Chesky reports. A factory producing fentanyl for hospitals in China denies that its drug ends up in the U.S. The U.S. accuses China of producing the precursor chemicals for fentanyl that is smuggled across the southern border. NBC News' Janis Mackey Frayer reports. Testimony continued in the civil trial centered around the case of a six-year-old student who shot their teacher in school. Bodycam video and images were released publicly on Wednesday, showing law enforcement officers entering the school and treating that teacher after the shooting. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk has the story. Sean Grayson was found guilty of murder in killing of Sonya Massey. The former sheriff's deputy was convicted of second-degree murder which carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. Several research monkeys escaped, according to local authorities, after a truck carrying them crashed in Jasper County, Mississippi. Authorities initially warned the public that the monkeys may be carrying diseases including COVID, but later clarified, and said they're not infectious. NBC News' Kathy Park reports.
