One day after a deadly shooting rampage at Florida State University, there are new details about the alleged gunman and the victims. One woman hit by a bullet, says her decision to play dead is the reason she's still alive. NBC News' Priya Sridhar reports.  Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia for a half hour at a hotel in El Salvador on Thursday evening. Sen. Van Hollen said Abrego Garcia told him he has not communicated with anybody since arriving in El Salvador and has been moved from the notorious CECOT prison to another detention facility. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports civil rights lawyers say the Trump administration is now preparing more deportation flights for alleged gang members. The judge presiding over Idaho vs. Bryan Kohberger handed down evidentiary rulings today. A surviving roommate will be allowed to testify she saw "a masked man with bushy eyebrows." Kohberger's defense will not be able to mention his autism diagnosis unless he takes the stand. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk explains. NBC News' Richard Engel reports on the ground in Tehran tonight as nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran are set to resume in Rome this weekend. The fires in Altadena and Pacific Palisades destroyed thousands of homes, but so many owners are underinsured that rebuilding may prove too costly.
