Classical pianists Masayuki Tayama and Rhiana Henderson have a dream of combining their two passions, music and canal cruising. So they are risking Masayuki's life savings to commission a one-of-a-kind floating home that is also a concert hall - and a hotel.

Newly retired 55-year-old boating enthusiast Colin Stewart, who survived a heart attack 15 years ago, is embarking on a bold life adventure. He is planning to spend half the year cruising Britain's waterways on a high-spec narrowboat, called Tickin Along.

Hell suffers from overpopulation and Heaven solves the problem by routinely exterminating demons yearly. Charlie, who has grown up in Hell, wants to find an alternate solution to the mass slaughter. She opens the Happy Hotel which aims at teaching demons and sinners to become better people. There is substantial resistance, though, and Charlie and her friends must work together to keep the hotel running.

Coop is a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family's lifestyle afloat. These petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.
