This portion of the block is anchored by Craig Melvin, an NBC News fixture since 2011. As with the other "MSNBC Live'' programming blocks throughout the day, the Melvin-anchored show explores the day's developments in news and politics so the network's viewers can continue to be informed of the latest happenings. In addition to covering breaking news, the show includes newsmaker interviews and analysis of the latest stories.

Middle child Gene is an aspiring musician with a thirst for life. Louise is the bunny ears-wearing youngest daughter with an off-kilter sense of humor that makes her somewhat of a liability in the kitchen – and with the public.
Jeopardy!
Jeopardy! is a classic game show -- with a twist. The answers are given first, and the contestants supply the questions. Three contestants, including the previous show's champion, compete in six categories and in three rounds (with each round's "answers" being worth more prize money).
