Nikola Krsmanović lives outside Belgrade in an unfinished house. He drives a taxi at night and hasn't had a drink for a year. Nikola's ex-wife Maja, married a respectable man, lives with Nikola's daughter in a nice house in the wider city center. Nikola left his job in the police, now works as a driver and protector of elite prostitutes. During one incident, Nikola beats up a banker who attacked one of his wards, and after the banker is found dead, Nikola becomes the prime suspect. The case becomes very personal for ex-inspector Nikola, especially since his former colleagues are working on the case. Following police clues, the way elite prostitution and major crime operate, Nikola gradually realizes that the solution to the mystery lies in the distant past...
