Daniel ist aus Alex' Leben verschwunden und nach Dortmund gezogen. Alex könnte eigentlich froh sein, dass sie endlich ihre Ruhe hat. Dummerweise ist eine Umweltprojektwoche an der Schule geplant, und Claudia lädt ausgerechnet Daniels Freundin Angie ein, bei ihrer 'Müllsammel-Gruppe' mitzumachen - gemeinsam mit Niko und Alex. Angie ist tieftraurig, dass Daniel nicht aus Dortmund anruft und schüttet ausgerechnet Alex ihr Herz aus... Zu allem Überfluss wird Alex' Handy mit Anrufen aus Dortmund bombardiert, sie traut sich gar nicht mehr ans Telefon, denn vielleicht ist der Anrufer ja Daniel? Um sich abzulenken, steigt Alex mit aller Energie in ein Papierrecyclingprojekt ein. Anke ist - im Gegensatz zu Hendrik und Basti - von Alex' neuem Engagement für die Umwelt total begeistert, zumal sie gehört hat, dass Teile des Altpapiers, das im Container landet, in Wirklichkeit verbrannt statt wiederverwertet wird.
