Alex' Mitschülerin Sabine deutet eine Bemerkung von Alex, dass sie sich nicht für Jungs interessiere, völlig falsch und setzt dass Gerücht in die Welt, Alex sei lesbisch. Claudia bedrängt Alex, die Sache bei den Mitschülern richtig zu stellen, aber Alex gibt wie immer nichts darum, was die anderen von ihr denken. Claudia ist mehr und mehr verunsichert: Vielleicht ist ja an dem Gerücht doch etwas dran. Jeanette, ein Mädchen aus ihrer Stufe, bewundert, wie souverän Alex anscheinend zu ihrer Homosexualität steht, und wagt ihr Coming Out als Lesbe vor der ganzen Klasse. Nun befindet sich Alex in einem großen Dilemma: Wie kann sie der unsicheren Jeanette, die froh ist, nicht die einzige Außenseiterin zu sein, die Wahrheit beibringen und sich als 'wütende Heterosexuelle' outen? Sogar Anke und Hendrik bekommen Wind von dem Gerücht, und als Alex mit Jeanette zu Hause auftaucht, sind sie geradezu begeistert, dass ihre Tochter endlich ihr Glück gefunden zu haben scheint.
