Hace años, Jorge Ponce fue estafado por un hombre que alegaba ser un excompañero de trabajo con un drama personal. Pronto descubrió que le había pasado lo mismo a Andreu Buenafuente, Dani Rovira, Joaquín Reyes y otros compañeros de profesión. Todo quedó como una anécdota entre cómicos hasta que, en 2023, Jorge conoce un nuevo caso y se propone encontrar al timador y contarlo en este documental.
Trabajamos juntos
a búsqueda de Antonio Medina se remonta a hace más de veinte años con la pista de un programa infantil y juvenil en el que nuestro hombre podría haber sido cámara. La incapacidad del equipo del documental y de los detectives de avanzar en la investigación pone en riesgo la existencia de la propia serie.
Coincidimos en aquel programa…
La noticia de que un programa de televisión con más recursos está también tras la pista de Antonio Medina mina la moral del equipo. Y quizá esa no sea la única competencia: diferentes noticias de estafadores en el mundo de la televisión han "puesto de moda" el tema. Jorge solo ve una solución para llegar los primeros: tenderle una trampa a Antonio Medina usando como cebo a sus amigos famosos.
Las cosas no me van muy bien
Todos los intentos de localizar a Antonio Medina antes que el otro programa de televisión, han caído en saco roto. El equipo cada vez está más desanimado y, por si fuera poco, Jorge parece cada vez más desconectado de la realidad y propone una última locura: intentar estafar a los medios que buscan al estafador. Pero no cuenta con que el presupuesto para esta serie documental ya se ha agotado.

Meses después de la finalización del documental, Jorge vuelve a reunir al equipo de manera urgente porque tiene la pista más importante hasta el momento: alguien se acaba de encontrar a Antonio Medina. El equipo sale inmediatamente en su búsqueda. Con el resultado, consiguen luz verde para hacer un último episodio. ¿Podrá Jorge volver a encontrarse con Antonio Medina?
