Episode 1
Maxine Carr moves to Soham for a fresh start with her boyfriend Ian Huntley. On a weekend home to see her mother, and following a jealous argument with Ian, Maxine parties the night away in her hometown of Grimsby. She awakens to the news of the girls' disappearance and returns to Soham to provide Ian with an alibi. As media interest escalates and the police search intensifies, the couple become increasingly exposed, and we're left to wonder — how much does Maxine really know?

Episode 2
As the police investigation intensifies, Maxine becomes increasingly drawn into the media frenzy as Ian helps out with the search. When Maxine organises for herself and Ian to do a live television interview, she risks her own alibi when someone she met in Grimsby on the night of the girls' disappearance sees her on TV. Investigative reporter Brian Farmer continues to seek out answers and remains suspicious of Ian's role in the girls' disappearance. As evidence begins to pile up, Ian and Maxine are arrested on suspicion of abduction and murder.

Episode 3
Maxine is informed that Ian has been charged with the abduction and murder of the girls, while she is remanded in custody for conspiring to pervert the course of justice. Maxine feels the wrath of public fury. She reveals to Ian's mother that Ian told her that the girls came inside the house. Eventually, Maxine turns on Ian after hearing about previous assault allegations against him. The trial ensues as the prosecution tries to unravel the truth.

The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
