MOTD Live: UEFA Euro 2024 - Croatia v Italy

Coverage of the Group B match from Leipzig Arena, where one of the most intriguing groups of the tournament reaches a conclusion. Croatia will be looking to continue a decent run of form at major tournaments and make it through to the knockout stages, having made it out of the group stages in the past four competitions since 2016. That has led them to appearances in a World Cup final and semi-final in 2018 and 2022 respectively, but they have yet to make it past the quarter-finals of the Euros. Their ranks include vastly experienced captain Luka Modric, as well as Manchester City duo Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic. Italy are looking to repeat their success of three years ago, when they defeated England on penalties in the final, but their line-up has changed substantially since then, and the Azzurri have often been unpredictable in the finals of major tournaments. They can no longer rely on the likes of defensive stalwarts Giorgino Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci, who were involved in Euro 2020, but Italy are often at their best when unfancied and up against it. Gary Lineker presents, with analysis from Micah Richards, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer, and commentary by Jonathan Pearce.
