Eddie Howe took his Newcastle side to meet Manchester United at Old Trafford, where the Magpies haven't won for almost a decade. Elsewhere, Arsenal looked to build on their good start to the campaign at Leeds United. Aston Villa hosted Chelsea, and West Ham made the trip down to the south coast to face Southampton.
