Manhattan Love Story - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Pilot
Dana grew up in a small town with her sights set on New York romanticizing about the life and love it had to offer while Peter, by contrast, grew up there and feels like he has been there and done that when it comes to life in Manhattan. Dana is determined to succeed in New York in both business and love, while Peter is perfectly content to go on dating his way through it. While it is the streets of New York that offers this duo a first glimpse of each other, it's family and friends who conspire to set them up. The audience will go along for the ride as they venture on their first date and hear exactly what they really think of each other.

In the Mix, on the Books, and in the Freezer
Peter (Jake McDorman) and Dana (Analeigh Tipton) have shared one successful date but things take an awkward turn when Dana runs into Peter on a date with another woman. Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) rallies Dana to start dating other people and get a "mix" of her own. Now that the tables are turned, where does this leave things for Dana and Peter's relationship?

Gay or British?
Dana and Peter seem to have reached the perfect relationship balance - they've jointly agreed to see other people but not talk about it. But their dating anonymity is all about to change when Dana learns of a long-standing dinner party Amy is hosting at the loft - and the fact Peter is attending and bringing someone else as his date. On a mission to find her own suitable dinner companion, Dana turns to her new handsome and British boss, Tucker, but both Peter and Dana's evenings do not go as planned.

It's Complicated
Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and Peter (Jake McDorman) continue to enjoy New York and each other, but when they realize they still haven't had sex, both decide tonight's the night following a sexy and swanky dinner at an upscale oyster restaurant. But when the couple finds their reservation is pushed, Dana and Peter head elsewhere, not knowing that their romantic evening is about to go from intimate dinner to disaster. Meanwhile, Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) and David (Nicolas Wright) spend an evening babysitting and make a decision that will impact their future forever.

Sex Actually
Each time Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and Peter (Jake McDorman) are about to have sex, they end up in ridiculous fights; the most recent being about the movie Love Actually. Their friends plan a screening of the movie to help, which backfires, sparking yet another fight. But, finally, after Peter makes a romantic gesture inspired by a character in the movie, the two of them have sex. David (Nicolas Wright) and Chloe (Chloe Wepper) help William (Kurt Fuller) hunt down his biggest critic after he comes across negative reviews about his company on Yelp. David and Amy finally forgive each other for that first fight from so many years ago.

Empire State of Mind Strikes Back
An impending storm is a fitting end to a tough week for Dana (Analeigh Tipton) until her boss calls with her first book to edit due first thing Monday. But when everyone she knows shows up at the office to wait out the storm, Dana is annoyed by the distraction until the power goes out and everyone pitches in to help her meet her deadline. Meanwhile, Peter (Jake McDorman) really wants Dana to sell her car but when his offer to help move it from the flood zone backfires (he doesn't know how to drive) he realizes he's just worried that she might someday want to use it to leave the city and him. Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) and David (Nicolas Wright) fight over the value of things in their apartment when David decides only to save his Han Solo statue from the storm.

Love is a Battlefield
Dana (Analeigh Tipton) is forced to reveal an embarrassing hobby (LARPing) to Peter (Jake McDorman) when he joins her on what he believes is an out of town work conference. But a supportive Peter eventually misses Dana and decides to join her on the playing field, putting everything she's worked so hard for and loves about the game in jeopardy. Meanwhile at Cooper & Sons, when an important client suddenly wants to come in for his annual meeting, the family is afraid David (Nicolas Wright) might not have the necessary skills to close the deal without Peter.

Plus One
When Dana (Analeigh Tipton) replaces Peter (Jake McDorman) with Tucker as her plus one to an old friend's wedding, Peter quickly realizes that he'd rather have a miserable time with Dana than a wonderful time without her. Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) skips her spin class to secretly take dance lessons in preparation for the wedding and David (Nicolas Wright) thinks she might be having an affair.

Happy Thankmas
Peter (Jake McDorman) is embarrassed by his family and doesn't invite Dana (Analeigh Tipton) to Thanksgiving until he knows she has plans to go home and can't make it. But when Dana's flight home suddenly gets cancelled, she ends up in the middle of Peter's horribly family Thanksmas tradition and is determined to turn things around and have fun.

The Ex Factor
When Peter (Jake McDorman) learns that Dana (Analeigh Tipton) is still friends with all of her exes, even the one who proposed, he takes her cue and tries to reconnect with his one long-term girlfriend and things go horribly wrong. There is conflict at Cooper & Sons when Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) fills in for the receptionist and tries to tell everyone how to do their job.

Let It Go
When Dana (Analeigh Tipton's ex-boyfriend shows up in New York to win her back, Peter (Jake McDorman) does everything he can to show Dana how much he cares, even letting her go if that's what it takes.
