In Bärstadt finden Dreharbeiten zu einem Kinofilm statt. Für Charly Fuchs, die charmante aber chaotische Kusine von Fritz, ist das die große Chance. Sie will unbedingt dabei sein, als Schauspielerin. Sie hat extra Unterricht genommen, um den Regisseur von sich zu überzeugen. Aber ihr Traum droht zu platzen, bevor er überhaupt angefangen hat. Eine intrigante Konkurrentin versucht Charly auszustechen, der Chip mit den Castingaufnahmen ist plötzlich verschwunden. Aber Fritz Fuchs lässt seine Kusine nicht hängen, nimmt mit detektivischer Finesse die Spur auf und steigt so auf unkonventionelle Art ins Filmgeschäft ein.
