Sent Away
Starkey goes to Westbourne Library and Museum to do some research for a book he is writing about his experiences during World War Two. He soon meets Miss Lee, who is temporarily in charge, and discovers some interesting things on the computer.

Grainger Danger
The evacuees are finding it hard to settle down, and Mary has to earn her keep by working as a maid. In the present day, Starkey explains rationing to Miss Lee and discusses why children were evacuated from the towns.

Spies All Around
Polly thinks Grainger wants to drive them off the farm, but Norman reckons he's a spy.

Trouble for Mary
An Italian POW arrives to help on the farm, and Starkey looks back at some wartime posters.

The Poster Comes to Life
Polly and Dennis meet Mary at Westbourne Hall. They encounter Vivienne Belling, who resembles the spy on the poster.

Bombs in the Country
Belling claims she is a government photographer but the children are convinced she is a spy. Meanwhile, Mary overhears a suspicious conversation between Miss Millington and Grainger. And Dennis and Polly find themselves in trouble as they spot a German plane - on fire and heading straight for them!

Surprise
Norman sees Grainger giving Belling a package. Mary searches Westbourne Hall for evidence that Grainger is a spy. Norman gets a nice surprise for his birthday.

The Pilot
The children are responsible for the capture of the German pilot. Mary is determined to find out what Grainger is up to, and follows him on one of his nighttime excursions.

The Secret Quarry
The children discover a tunnel leading from an abandoned quarry to Westbourne Hall. Grainger catches the boys, but they are rescued by Luigi. The children's confidence in their GI friend is misplaced.

Captured
The children go to the quarry at night and discover Grainger's secret.
