Episode 2
Dr Suzannah Lipscomb is granted access to view artefacts from Henry VIII's pleasure palace. Dan Jones tells the story of Dick Whittington in full and discovers what 14th Century skeletons reveal about the Black Death. Rob Bell finds out how Elizabethan adventurers bailed out Queen Elizabeth I, and transformed the city.

Episode 3
Dr Suzannah Lipscomb investigates how London's West End became the playground of the wealthy elite.

Episode 4
As the team reaches the 20th century, Dan Jones heads in search of the origins of London's vast suburbia, then goes underground to explore how Crossrail will propel the capital into the future.
