In 1993, Gregory has started pre-production on his movie, and the loft is in chaos. Athena wants to go over the script, the crew is blowing fuses, and Gregory can't get an actress to do a nude scene. He gets lucky and finds a girl hanging around the set named Valerie, and she agrees to help him out. Athena, meanwhile, gets a call from Randy Gendel, a theater director who didn't give her a part in ""The Iceman Cometh,"" even after she slept with him (Episode #104). Athena is apprehensive to talk to him, but he's got a role for her in an off Broadway play and it could be a huge break. Athena meets with Gendel, and realizes that in order to do the play she'll have to drop out of Gregory's movie. When Athena tells Gregory this, he loses it. He can't believe Athena would bail out on him especially since she knows how much the movie means to him. Stricken with guilt, Athena volunteers to drop out of the play, but Gregory makes a compromise and says he'll rewrite the script to accommodate her s
