As pediatrician Laurie Hill tends to a very sick child at work, she wishes she could spend more time with her own 5-year-old, being spoiled at home by her freelance-writer husband, as she has to put up with co-workers who are mostly boorish, self-centered, sexist men. Her only friends are the other female employees, the resident nurse and the receptionist.
