Jools welcomes to the show Leeds band Yard Act, who perform a couple of tracks from their second album Where's My Utopia?; legend of British music Gabrielle with her song Miss You from her album A Place in Your Heart; New Zealand multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Jordan Rakei with two songs from his fifth album, The Loop; Adrianne Lenker, best known as the frontwoman of the band Big Thief, who performs the emotional song Sadness as a Gift; west London visual artist and musician Lava La Rue, who performs their single Push N Shuv, taken from their debut album Starface; and south London band Fat Dog, who perform All The Same, taken from their debut album WOOF.

Accompanied by Peggy Scott, an accomplished African-American woman, Marian inadvertently becomes enmeshed in a social war between one of her aunts, a scion of the old money set, and her stupendously rich neighbors, a ruthless railroad tycoon and his ambitious wife, George and Bertha Russell.
In this exciting new world that is on the brink of the modern age, will Marian follow the established rules of society, or forge her own path?
