Jana Skoff ( Emily Cox ), star of the folk music trio „ Jana & die Lausbuam ", has become a singer of an indie band falls in love and wants to start a new life with her. A world collapses in the tranquil Murbruck: In the morning, the highly respected Rudi Stiegler ( Gottfried Breitfuß ) goes bankrupt with his private bank and still in the evening he dies in his own house in a robbery.
