Four modern-day pioneers head into the Alaskan wilderness to build dream homesteads. Danny will build his log cabin entirely by hand. Greg faces stormy seas to get to his island site. Tiffany struggles with early snow. Jim needs to find his land.

Harsh Realities
Danny cuts the logs he needs for his cabin but he can't move them to his site. Jim risks catastrophe when he forgets a vital piece of equipment. Greg struggles to find ATV access to his hilltop site. Tiffany fears her son is lost in the bush.

Bogged Down
The homesteaders get bogged down as winter approaches. A chainsaw accident shuts down Danny's build, as Jim carries tons of lumber through the woods. Greg can't find solid ground to start his build, while Tiffany's crewmember flips on an icy trail.

Point of No Return
The winter pushes the pioneers to breaking point. While a blizzard forces Tiffany to make a tough decision, Danny stops his build to hunt for much needed food.

Threat of Winter
As the cold intensifies, Danny's starving crew must mill 25 logs before nightfall. Plus, Greg's crew is stranded on the beach with hungry Kodiak bears.

Last Plane Out
Winter arrives as homesteaders race to finish their cabins. A serious injury threatens Jim's build while Tiffany's progress has her optimistic. Greg struggles to dry in his cabin, and Danny has just 24 hours to finish before the last plane leaves.
