Lampje - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

De Vuurtoren
Lampje lives with her father Augustus in the lighthouse. Every evening she climbs up to light the big lamp. But one time, when there's a storm, the matches run out. The lamp stays out and in the dark night a large ship crashes against the rocks. Augustus is blamed and imprisoned for punishment. Light has to go to work in the Black House on the cliff, and everyone knows that a monster lives there. Martha, the housekeeper, forbids Lampie to go upstairs. But Lampje misses her father and the sea, and she can only see the lighthouse from the tower room. On tiptoe she sneaks up the stairs...

Het Zwarte Huis
The monster attacks Lampje but she is not afraid and fends off. From now on she has to take care of the fish boy, who is locked in the tower room. It is not easy what she does, and Vis thinks she is just a stupid child. Lampje is fed up with him calling her names and walks away, but she is soon sent back. The fish boy misses his father the Admiral, who is on a journey and is ashamed of his deformed son. In desperation, Pisces tries to act like an ordinary boy. Lampje wants Vis to do something for her: teach her to read. In return, Lampje takes Vis outside for the first time in his life. The two children become friends.

De Kermis
Lampie takes Vis to the fair, where they meet Vis's aunt, Radiant Diamond, in a tent of Earth-Shaking Creatures. The boss of the tent sees a free attraction in Vis and tries to catch the fish boy. Radiant Diamond helps Fish escape, but does not survive. Together with the people of the fair, Lampje and Fish say goodbye to Radiant Diamond and return her to the sea. As his father the Admiral returns from his journey, Fish discovers where he comes from and overcomes his fear of water. Lampje is afraid that she will lose her new boyfriend.

De Zee
Fish finally sees his father again. Lampje finds out that the Admiral wants to give his son to the fair as a Deformed Creature. Risking their lives, the children flee the Black House. Lampie rows to the lighthouse to warn her father. Soon a storm arises. The waves are too high and the current is too strong for Lampje. She is exhausted and drifts away from shore in the small rowing boat, out to sea. Everything seems lost. Fish swims in the high, wild waves to seek help. Together with pirates on a large pirate ship, he saves Lampje from the sea. When she is safely hoisted on deck, Lampje is in for a big surprise.
