A series of strange deaths are taking place in the new Karpaty country hotel. Rumor has it that this is how the curse of the past inhabitants of this place, Romanian vampires, works. One of the victims was stabbed in the heart with an aspen stake... The Crusaders, as Konstantin's team is called in the department, go to the hotel: Masha gets a job as a maid, and Morozov settles there under the guise of a tourist. Meanwhile, Crusaders are haunted by his long-time enemy Faust, who invisibly monitors the work of the department.
