Frightened Corpse
As the Kabane attack Aragane station, Ikoma flees to his home, lures a Kabane into the house and successfully kills it with his bolt gun, but doesnt get away wholly.

Never-ending Darkness
Ikoma somehow survives and heads towards the last Hayajiro left in Kenkin Station, the Kotetsujyo. Meanwhile, Ayame and her people were left behind to fend off the Kabane when a young girl named Mumei appears before them. The girl clears open a path to the Kotetsujyo with incredible combat prowess.

Prayer Offer
Having escaped Kenkin Station, the Kotetsujyo heads for Kongokaku, the Shogunate's fortress. However, the people on the Kotetsujyo quickly turn against Ikoma and Mumei and attempt to drive them off the train. Having been thrown into her leadership position, Ayame lacks the power to subdue them...

Flowing Blood
After the killing of the pregnant kabane by Mumei, the people of the Kotetsujyo are more than ever mistrustful of the kabaneri. A new kind of enemy provides an opportunity for kabeneri and "kabaneri-friends".

Inescapable Darkness
As the Kotetsujyo nears Yashiro station it becomes obvious it has suffered a major attack recently. Mumei meets with an old aquaintance which puts her in an odd mood. The growing food shortage forces the group to take risks in in order to advance.

Gathering Light
The crew of the Kotetsujyo explores options to leave Yashiro station, whilst Mumei and Ikoma need to find a way out of their own predicament. Both need to worry about the Black Smoke.

Begging the Heavens
The Kotetsujyo reaches Shitori station. Luckily it's still unharmed, this means the crew can stock up on supplies and spend some well earned leisure time.

The Silent Hunter
When Shitori station is attacked the Hayajiro Kokujou arrives with the hunter squad. It is an elite team that hunts Kabane and is led by lord Amatori Biba.

Fangs of Destruction
Iwato station, the last stop before Kongokaku, refuses the Hunters' Kokujo to enter. But lord Biba is allowed a meeting, during which Biba shows his true colors and with some "help" from Horobi makes a move. Mumei is distraught when she finds out whats been going on.

The Attacking Weak
The iron fortress rumbles on to Kongokaku while Ayame agrees with Biba for lack of better options. Mumei learns more about her brothers intentions and Ikoma schemes.

Burning Life
Biba, Mumei and Ayame arrive at Kongokaku in the Kotetsujyo. Ikoma feels down, but soon learns something that gives hope.

Iron Fortress
Ikoma tries to rescue Mumei and Ayame tries to rescue her people, but lord Biba has other plans.
