The artist Rose has finally found the dream man and become a partner with the doctor Richard, which is all she has hoped for. But Richard also has two children from previous marriages, and Rose must fight with them for his time and favor. Chief surgeon Gerhard Mowinckel is delighted that his only son Victor will soon have children and continue the Mowinckel name. The problem arises when Victor will take the father-in-law's surname. Two weeks have passed since Kine gave birth to a daughter. Now she thinks it is high time that she got caught again and sneaked out on the Øya festival, with baby in tow. Anne gets surprised when she finds out that Bjørnar's ex-husband has gone on and got himself a girlfriend.
