Storage Unit Turned

Alison Victoria is trying to get Tiffany to move into Graham's house by re-doing his bachelor pad-like kitchen. Alison starts by stopping Graham's hoarding habits, removing all non-kitchen items from the room-including hockey equipment, clothing and a desk fan. Next, she re-designs the space, recessing the refrigerator into a wall for a more built-in look and creating space for a custom-made booth and light up table. To create additional storage space, Alison calls for floor to ceiling cabinetry, complete with accent glass panels for upper cabinets and changeable brushed metal panels for lower cabinets. To add style to the look, Alison installs strips of silver thermoplastic material to create an accent wall and balances out the kitchen with a brushed stainless steel mosaic tile backsplash. To finish the look -- can lighting, LED cabinet lighting and a DIY light fixture that prices for hundreds of dollars in stores, but can be made for much less!

Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.
