The next day, Ed promises the group a slap-up meal, if they can catch and kill it themselves. Once in camp, each of the dads must work with their child to put up their hammocks before trying to sleep amid a cacophony of bugs, insects and howler monkeys. A snake makes an appearance in camp and the following morning Ed has a sunrise surprise for the group.

Episode 5

Episode 6
The group face 48 hours without Ed's help, they must use everything they've learned to navigate the jungle, set up camp and ascend a 1,000 foot waterfall where Ed will be waiting for them at the summit. Given the choice of walking or swimming, the group break up and take different routes to an ancient cave complex, where some of them get lost. Tensions fray in a race against time to set up camp before darkness falls but the morning brings a final opportunity for the dads and kids to confront any lingering problems and reflect on life back home.
