Episode 2

The biggest threat to aircraft engines is a bird strike. With over 300 flights passing through Edinburgh Airport each day, a flock of birds threatens to cause chaos.
The final episode of this two-part documentary follows those on the front line up to the Chief Executive as the airport carries out a full-scale emergency operation, later described as 'chaotic' by one police officer. Luckily it's just a reconstruction and Chief Executive Gordon Dewar is well equipped to iron out any problems, having been in charge at Glasgow airport during the terrorist strike in 2007.
As Japanese tourists descend on the airport, retailers hope for a boost to trade. However the cashmere scarves don't prove as
popular as hoped. This week's episode also sees British Airways launch their new Edinburgh lounge at a cost of £1.5million, the biggest investment the airline has made in Scotland.
