The cross-media .hack series of videogames, TV cartoons, comics, novels, radio and more started in 2002. It all revolves around a fictional network game called The World in various time frames (present, past and future) and viewpoints (virtual or real). It is directed by Hiroshi Matsuyama, president of Fukuoka-based CyberConnect2, the videogame company behind the NARUTO action game, and expectations have been running high for its first, full-fledged 3DCG animation film. Creator's interview: Yoshifumi Hashimoto, Japanese Game Producer 
Japanese game producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto joined video-game maker SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION in 1993 and directed the development of action games before moving across to MarvelousAQL in 2005, where he produced the farming simulation game Bokujo Monogatari, Rune Factory series and Oboro Muramasa among others. Hashimoto became operating officer of MarvelousAQL in November 2011. We meet this industry key player and learn all about the new shape of the company.
