Everyone in the audience arrives at the show with their resignation letter in hand and, with the help of this week's celebrity guest Mel Giedroyc, Alan whittles participants down to the lucky chosen one via hilarious games, surprise guests, a celebrity executive board and an unusual way of using Velcro! Alan also helps Mel fulfil her dream of performing as Abba; and they both get spun around in a cement mixer! There are surprises and touching moments for audience members as this feel-good series sprinkles reasons to be cheerful into the working week. Along the way, we find out about the bizarre, funny and moving ways audience members would spend their year of freedom if they won the best prize on television.
