Hur Jun was an illegitimate child of the governor of Pyong Ahn Do and spent his days acting as the leader of a smuggling ring. When caught, his father arranged for Hur Jun and his mother to leave for Kyung Sang Do. This is where he met the reputable Dr. Yoo and discovered his talent and interest in medicine and healing people. Soon his life started to make a complete turn from his sordid past and he went on to become the emperor's physician.
