Episode 1
Tom's new boat, Barracuda, is a financial success. The Shellet / Rolf trial draws to a close. When Lynne fails to return home, Jan is very concerned. Meanwhile, Ken offers her a shoulder to cry on. Tom searches for Lynne and holds Charles responsible for her disappearance. Avril is frustrated by Tom's obsession with finding Lynne. The father of Abby's baby, Orin, is due to arrive in Tarrant and this effects Abby's relationship with Leo.

Episode 2
Lynne lies unconscious in hospital. An impoverished Shellet looks to Charles for financial support following the collapse of the trial. Both Jan and Tom have difficulty concentrating on work. meanwhile, Charles encounters problems in obtaining his divorce. Kate and Jack have a major win on the horses. Gerald takes an instant dislike to Orin. A newspaper article could spell disaster for Periplus.

Episode 3
Ken and Charles continue with their ambitious plans for the marina development; however, they encounter local opposition when it emerges it will take place on a wildlife reserve. Abby and Orin try to agree over William's future. Ken asks Jan to marry him. In a last ditch attempt to help Lynne recover, Tom takes her out for a trip in the Flying Fish.

Episode 4
Charles persuades Avril to become Managing Director of Relton Marine. Shellet plans an explosive revenge and Jack receives a nasty blow. Abby is put under parental pressure to marry Orin. Because of Jack's injuries, he is unable to make his solo trip across the Atlantic in the Barracuda. Lynne takes up a new challenge without the knowledge of her parents. Jan and Tom continue to disagree over their daughter's actions.

Episode 5
Tom and Jan wait anxiously for news of Lynne. Charles secretly buys enough shares to gain full managerial control of Relton Marine. Local opposition to the marina development intensifies as Abby leads the protest. Ken attempts to bribe the council. Jack finally persuades Shellet to leave Tarrant for good. Following a storm at sea, Lynne loses radio contact and Tom and Jan are frantic.

Episode 6
Charles tries to distance himself from Ken Masters. Abby begins to neglect William because of her participation in the protest and social services are not happy. When the press takes an interest in the protest and the marine development, it appears that Ken's corruption may be exposed. Tom and Jan are relieved when Lynne finally makes radio contact. Jack wins big on the horses and Lynne celebrates her sailing success with Claude Dupont. Leo suffers in the name of environmentalism.

Episode 7
Leo is up in court on criminal charges and is more than happy to expose Ken's corruption. However, Ken is eager to avoid a public trial at all costs. Charles and Ken continue to disagree about the direction of the marina project. Jan has second thought about her relationship with Ken when she learns the truth about Leo' s injuries. When Abby declines Orin's marriage proposal, it seems that she may be forced to give up William. The staff at the Mermaid Yard are somewhat disgruntled.

Episode 8
Lynne revels in the glory of her boating success while her relationship with Claude Dupont flourishes.There are problems with The Lynnette taken out for a test voyage. Ken is introduced to business man Mark Foster. Avril expresses concern about possible takeover at Relton; she believes Gerald is behind it. Meanwhile, Gerald is humiliated when he learns the identity of Abby's father. Tom and Avril finally find time to spend together. Gerald tenders his resignation.

Episode 9
Tom experiences structural problems when he takes The Lynnette out for a trial. Ken expresses an interest in buying Fostercarf. Kate begins work at Periplus and she proves to be a very effective sales woman. Abby regrets giving William to Orin. Gerald gets his old job back. Charles is keen to get to know more about his daughter but Polly is not so happy. Jack is overjoyed with the Mermaid's latest commission.

Episode 10
Jack is in high sprits constructing his latest commision. Animal activist, Jaegar, encourages Abby to join in some dubious activities. Avril is concerned that Charles is going to take over Relton. Jan faces difficulty getting supplies when Claude's ex-girlfriend enacts revenge. Kate Harvey finds herself in dire financial trouble and her house may be at risk as result. Ken takes a shine to Mark Foster's wife Sarah when they meet to discuss their business merger. Claude and Lynne tie the knot.

Episode 11
Curtis Jaegar takes drastic action to break up a dog fight and Abby tends his wounds. Charles continues with his mission to take over Relton. The Fosters and Ken celebrate their business merger. Meanwhile, Jan continues to experience difficulties at work and she, along with her mother, have serious financial worries. The Travis' express and interest in purchasing The Lynnette. Tom and Jack clash over the Yard's latest commission while Tom and Avril express concern about the implications Charles' takeover at Relton will have on the Mermaid.

Episode 12
Charles announces to the press his impending takeover of Relton. Jack spends his time avoiding an admirer. Kate is forced to put her home up for sale as she falls deeper into debt. At the Mermaid, Hans Muller expresses an interest in the Barracuda and the Travis' take him out in The Lynnette. Jack refuses to attend a board meeting at Relton chaired by Charles. Disaster strikes The Lynnette

Episode 13
Following Mr. Travis' death on The Lynnette, the Yard and Tom are held accountable. They must prove it was caused by an accident, not a structural fault. Abby continues her involvement with Jaegar but is horrified when she discovers the true nature of his activist activities. When Avril considers accepting Charles' proposal that she becomes Managing Director at Relton, it creates conflict for her and Tom. Mark Foster grows suspicious of his wife's relationship with Ken. Charles' re-organisation at Relton causes conflict. He is also learns the truth about Abby's paternity. Claude is involved in a skiing accident.
