Till slut döms sju av de tio åtalade för sin inblandning i helikopterrånet. "Piloten" och "Kalashnikovmannen" får längst straff. Straff som senare skärps ytterligare i hovrätten. Piloten fortsätter att hävda sin oskuld och nya vittnen träder fram och ger honom alibi för tiden då han påståtts landa helikoptern. Det räcker dock inte för resning i högsta domstolen och nu sju år senare har alla suttit av sina straff. De 39 miljoner kronor som stals är fortfarande spårlöst borta och det som svensk polis har sett som en framgångssaga menar vissa kritiker är ett stort misslyckande. Än i dag är det inte helt klarlagt vilka gärningsmännen var utöver "Kalashnikovmannen" inne i depån på G4S. Polisen spekulerar om att ett tjugotal personer varit inblandade i kuppen. Var det någon av de gripna eller låg en större kriminell organisation bakom?
