HBO Boxing presents a 12-round WBO World Super Featherweight title bout main event card between the current champion Vasyl "Hi-Tech" Lomaachenko (7-1-0, 5 KO's) from Oxnard, California by way of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Ukraine and his challenger is Jason "El Canito" Sosa (20-1-4, 15 KO's) from Camden, New Jersey. Lomaachenko won the title on 11 June 2016 from Román Martínez at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York. HBO Sports then named him the Boxer of the Year for 2016. Tonight's card is airing live from MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
