Happenstance - Season 1

Wade decides to take a vacation after breaking up with his boyfriend Eric. His mother Vivian also arrives in their vacation house as she too is brokenhearted. As they try to rearrange and clean up to ‘'move on," Wade stumbles upon a letter written by a Jose Manuel for a certain Luis. His curiosity opens up to a lot of possibilities - who is this Jose Manuel? Is this a fateful coincidence and the start of something magical?

As they continue to exchange letters, Wade finally asks Jose Manuel if they can try and meet by midnight in front of the mirror as urban legends say. Will they finally see each other? How will their budding connection be affected by the pandemic? Or will the euphoria subside?

Jose Manuel is increasingly bothered by Luis' disappearance. Wade volunteers to help look for him by searching for clues in the present time. Wade also tries to find answers on why their timelines seem to intertwine and the reason this is happening to them. Is fate telling them something?

Wade is keeping a secret from Jose Manuel about what really happened to Luis. Jose Manuel feels restless and he feels he needs to find out for himself. Wade tries to persuade him to stop what he is planning. Jose Manuel sneaks out of their house. Will he find Luis or will he be entangled in another problem? Where will Jose Manuel's emotional pain of being separated from Luis bring him?

Jose Manuel is detained by the military but his father rescued him. Wade's guilt over the secret he harbors continues to bother him as he starts to feel more for Jose Manuel. Then Eric comes back. Jose Manuel's disdain for his father grows and vows never to be controlled again. It's midnight once again. After all the pain that happened between them, are the two scared to initiate something because of their complicated situation?

Wade finally tells Jose Manuel what he knows about Luis. The truth caused the two's relationship to be broken. Wade wants to mend it back. Jose Manuel is completely devastated by what he learned. He's at a loss. Is he going to love for the last time because of what happened?

Because of what happened, Wade and Jose Manuel are now distant to each other. But as their distance grows, feelings start to grow. Is it blind love?

Wade finally reveals what he truly feels for Jose Manuel as he tries to sing a song he composed for the latter. Jose Manuel forgives him for what he did to him. Wade convinces Jose Manuel to take a chance and they should try to meet physically in the forthcoming supermoon. Vivian feels excited for his son. Is this the once-in-a-lifetime moment the two are finally waiting to happen?

The night of the super moon. Wade waits for Jose Manuel. Are they finally meeting each other or will this be the end of their happenstance? Will love see them through?
